Use the growpart command to the root partition of an existing hard disk. This command is only applicable for the LPSM OVA.
Syntax:
growpart <disk> <partition>
Example:
growpart /dev/sda 1
Use the resize2fs command to resize the ext4 file systems. This command is applicable for the API Server, Fabric Server, Director Console, and LPSM OVAs.You can extend the root partition of an existing hard disk only.
Syntax:
resize2fs <disk><partition>
Example:
resize2fs /dev/sda2
Note
Before extending a file system containing valuable data, create a snapshot of the machine if you need to roll back your changes.
