Logpoint installation combines the steps to install ISO files, upgrade to recent versions, and configure your system using console commands. For a fresh installation, you need a Logpoint ISO, which you can access from the Installations section in the Logpoint Help Center. To upgrade your existing Logpoint to a later version, you need the Logpoint PAK file of the corresponding version, which you can access from the Updates section in the Logpoint Help Center.
From any given version, you can identify the major, minor, and patch versions in sequential order. For example, in version 6.5.3, the major version is 6, the minor version is 5, and the FlexPatch version is 3.
Flex[ible] Patch[ing] in Logpoint is accumulative. It provides you with the convenience to skip frequent updates after each incremental release. Every new FlexPatch release accumulates all the updates from previous releases. Similarly, each previous updates leading to a minor release are carried in each increment.
FlexPatches are labeled as either optional or critical. Optional FlexPatches fixes bugs and adds new features, but may not be relevant to your given system. Critical FlexPatches fixes bugs and adds new features, but includes critical security-related fixes as well. You can identify your relevant FlexPatch update need based on this distinction.
