You can search logs and perform analytics on behalf of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint instances of the Director setup in the LPSM. You can:
Search for logs of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint instances.
Create alert rules, report templates, analytics packages, search templates, search packages, and dashboards on behalf of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint instances.
Subscribe to generated reports, incidents, and dashboards of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint instances.
Carry out actions on the generated reports, incidents, and dashboards of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint instances.
It is a generic module of the LPSM that you can use to subscribe to Dashboards, Reports, and Incidents of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint. You can subscribe and unsubscribe the dashboards, reports, and incidents as you require.
The attribute of impersonation allows you to make changes on behalf of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint users. The changes made in the LPSM for the subscribed Dashboards, Reports, and Incidents are reflected in the Fabric-enabled LogPoint. Likewise, the changes made in the subscribed items of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint are also reflected in the LPSM.
Note
You must reload the LPSM and the Fabric-enabled LogPoint manually after carrying out the delete, disable, or edit action in the Fabric-enabled LogPoint or the LPSM.
For example, if some changes are carried out in the Dashboard of a Fabric-enabled LogPoint through LPSM, then you must refresh the Fabric-enabled LogPoint manually. The changes appear in the Fabric-enabled LogPoint only after you refresh.
Similarly, if changes are carried out in the Dashboard of the Fabric-enabled LogPoint, then the LPSM must be refreshed manually. The changes appear in the LPSM only after the refresh.
