Network Assets

Network assets are the devices, applications, and systems connected to your network that the NDR monitors.

List

NDR detects and keeps track of all network assets, being client PCs, servers, phones, . Each detected asset on the local network is categorized by:

  • Host IP

  • MAC address

  • Host name when detected

  • Operating System and OS version

  • Device type (client/server)

  • Observations of the asset

  • Detected Software

All columns are filterable in the first row. You can filter multiple columns at the same time. Furthermore, the software column shows at most three types of software, but all are filterable. This column can be expanded, which prompts a new table containing all the given software for the specific asset.

In the top right corner there are toggles for ipv4 and ipv6, which allows you to list only assets with a specific IP version.

Graph

This graph provides a visual representation of the local networks in a topographical order. The representation is in form of a bidirectional, interactive graph. By default, subnets in the private address space are shown as nodes that can be expanded by clicking on them.

The width of the edges represent the amount of communication between two nodes and the lengths of the edges represent the number of connections.

There is an option to show broadcast nodes and an option to disable auto updates, which will persist the state of the interactivity (and not reset every minute).

An "end node" is real host asset in the network. Hover on it to show more info, and click on it to show the other nodes that it communicates with.

To zoom on the network graph, hold the shift key, and use normal scrolling.
