Install AgentX Client on Windows (mass - Microsoft Intune)

Mass install AgentX Client on Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune for centralized deployment.

Prerequisites

  • Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro workstations

  • Microsoft Intune subscription and admin access

  • AgentX Client v1.2.0 or later (.msi file) downloaded from Release Notes

  • IP address of Logpoint where AgentX Server and AgentX Manager are installed

  • Company Portal installed on target workstations

Configure Microsoft Intune Portal

  1. Log in to the Microsoft Intune Portal.

  2. Select Devices.

  3. Select Windows Devices and verify your devices are connected to Intune.

  4. Select Apps.

  5. Select All apps and select + Add.

  6. Select Line-of-business app as the App type.

  7. Select Select.

  8. Select Select app package file and browse to the AgentX Client .msi file.

  9. Select OK.

  10. Enter a Publisher name.

  11. In Command-line arguments, enter:

Replace x.x.x.x with your Logpoint IP address.

To enable osquery during installation, enter:

  1. Select Next.

  2. Under Required, select + Add group.

  3. Select the company group for AgentX Client installation.

  4. Select Select.

  5. Select Next.

  6. Select Create.

Expected outcome

AgentX Client installs automatically on all Windows workstations in the selected group during the next Intune policy sync.

Verification

On the Microsoft Intune Portal:

  1. Go to Apps > All apps.

  2. Select the AgentX Client app.

  3. Select Device install status to view installation progress across devices.

On endpoints:

  1. Verify the AgentX Client service is running in Services (services.msc).

  2. In Logpoint, go to Settings > Configuration > AgentX > Agents.

  3. Verify that endpoints appear in the agents list.

Force immediate installation on workstations

To apply the installation immediately without waiting for the scheduled update:

  1. On the Windows workstation, go to Settings > Accounts.

  2. Select Access work or school.

  3. Select the Microsoft Intune account.

  4. Select Info.

  5. Under Device sync status, select Sync.

This forces synchronization and applies the installation immediately.

Change Logpoint IP address after deployment

To update the Logpoint IP address for deployed agents:

  1. In Microsoft Intune Portal, go to Apps > All apps.

  2. Select the AgentX Client app.

  3. Select Properties > Edit (next to App information).

  4. Update the Command-line arguments with the new IP address.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Force sync on workstations to apply the change.
